The Grants Research Institute LLC was founded in 2013 by Mr. Edward Wollmann, an experienced grant writer with over $14 million in grants funded. Edward is also a veteran grant writing trainer who has developed the grant writing skills of over 1,600 participants over the last 10 years who have reported over $140,000,000 in grants awarded.
Past attendees at Edward’s grant writing seminars have included non-profit program managers, public sector executives and faculty members, staff and graduate students from over 125 universities and colleges in the USA, such as Harvard University, Princeton University, Columbia University, University of Michigan, Baylor School of Medicine, University of Chicago, University of Texas and Purdue University.
Edward started the Grants Research Institute in 2013, shortly after his retirement as the director of program research and development for a Michigan-based non-profit organization.
As Edward puts it, “As a grant writing trainer, I’ve repeatedly heard my grant writing students complain about how hard it was find suitable grant funding opportunities for their organizations.”
“Plus, I knew from my own experience that most grant proposals are usually written by busy senior-level non-profit executives and administrators.”
“And when you couple this with the fact that it often takes longer to find an appropriate funding opportunity than it does to write the grant proposal, I knew that here was a need in search of an opportunity.”
“And that’s how The Grants Research Institute LLC was born.”
