≥ FUNDING RESEARCH
The hundreds, sometimes thousands, of local and regional funders that operate in every state represent an organization’s best chance of getting grants. But most of these smaller foundations don’t have websites and they don’t send out invitations to apply for grants. That means we have to find THEM.
Funding Research for Grants Professionals—Grant writers who subscribe to our Funding Research for Grants Professionals service will receive detailed notices of funding opportunities every two weeks. These notices will highlight those in-state funders that will be accepting grant applications in the next 30 to 60 days. That means our Funding Research clients don’t have to hunt for funding opportunities. It also means they have more time to write better grant proposals. And better grant proposals means more grant funding.
≥ GRANTS RESEARCH Federal and non-federal funders alike are increasingly requiring applicants to document the validity of the problem. More and more funders also want applicants to document the effectiveness of their proposed approach. That takes research, and research takes time. Unfortunately, time is the one resource that most grant writers have the least of.
Problem/Needs Development–The Grants Research Institute can develop the background evidence needed so grant writers write an effective problem/needs section. Our research is thorough and well-documented, that incorporates the strategic priorities of the funder.
Project Design Development—The project design section (the goals, objectives and strategies) is the heart and soul of a grant proposal. The Grants Research Institute is highly skilled at identifying project strategies that are innovative and effective, while also reflecting industry best practices.
≥ GRANTS CAPACITY BUILDING
Most organizations have just one person who does the grant writing. But these good folks already have a full workload. The result is that many grant proposals are hurriedly written and submitted just minutes before the deadline–that also have little or no chances of being funded,
Grant Writing Interns and Volunteers–The Grants Research Institute can increase an organization’s grant writing capacity by helping them to mobilize the incredible, untapped potential of local and virtual interns and volunteers. Our Grants Capacity Building services are especially effective with smaller, or newer organizations, which usually don’t have in-house grant writers.
